2007 brings us the 21st Breitenbush Herbal Conference.  This conference “It Takes A Village Herbalist…” with 30 workshops, demonstrations, herb walks and merriment, will appeal to beginner through advanced students.  The healing waters and ancient forests of Breitenbush are an added bonus while attending this gathering. In addition to the main conference,  beginning Friday at 4:30; we offer 2 pre-conference intensive workshops from 9:30 to 3:30 on Friday.    Inquire about Professional Continuing Education Credits and our Children’s program. We look forward to sharing this amazing experience with you.

Each year some of the finest herbalists share their knowledge, wisdom, tradition and passion. The 2007 teachers include: Cascade Anderson Geller, Paul Bergner, Jane Bothwell, Howie Brounstein, Christopher Hobbs, Elise Krohn, Glen Nagel, Michele Palazzo, Deb Soule, and Jonathan Treasure.

Breitenbush is a unique place where the renewal of the world of humans and nature coincide. The sacred waters and ancient forest of the Breitenbush Community empower all who attend and enhance the opening of the mind to the reception of knowledge. In addition to the 10 incredible teachers and 25+ workshops, demonstrations, herb walks and discussions, this year’s conference includes children’s program, talent show, marketplace, sniff-a-thon, and raffle to benefit United Plant Savers.

Along with the conference, enjoy the hot pools, steam room, hiking, massage and the opportunity for quiet contemplation.

We are offering a children’s program and welcome you to bring your children. All children must be pre-registered.  Childcare is provided for children 3 years and older DURING WORKSHOPS ONLY and will include herb walks, craft projects, snacks and drama.  Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Conference attendees stay in simple, rustic, geothermal heated, communal cabins nestled beneath towering conifers, a short walk from the lodge and classes. The cabins are kept cozy year round with heat from the Earth’s waters. Breitenbush wall-tents and personal campsites are available.

Bountiful vegetarian meals, mostly organic, are served buffet style three times daily. We honor requests for wheat, egg, and dairy free alternatives.

This year's conference is made possible by a generous contribution of Mountain Rose Herbs
